Are you in a local band that’s interested in winning $1,000 in cash? Want to get your music on the radio? Kick out the jams at The Vault’s inaugural T-Town Showdown, a semi-annual talent search contest designed to find and promote the best in local music.
The Vault is looking to book over 70 bands to face off for the grand prize of $1,000 cash; 24 hours of recording time with Alex Pappas, the original drummer of Finch; the band’s single featured on Clear Channel's Q103.3 and to play direct support to the headliner of their choice at The Vault — not to mention major recognition throughout the scene. Second place winners will receive $500 in cash and a week of free rehearsal space. In addition, all radio-friendly entries are eligible for airplay on Q103.3 Temecula’s only rock station.
Judging will be based on five categories, which include song structure and caliber, presentation and stage presence, crowd participation, ticket draw and professionalism. Four judges will be present at each event to assist in arbitration and assessment. In the event of a tie, The Vault’s Entertainment Director Ivan Promotions will decide who moves on to the next round.
Each band will be given 50 tickets to sell prior to the event. Set times will be determined the day of the event based on each band’s ticket draw — the more tickets you sell, the better set time you receive. All bands will be required to check in prior to the show to turn in funds and unsold tickets.
